Wolf Pack boys basketball camp

WHEN: Monday through Friday, June 4 to 8

WHERE: Steve Thornton Gymnasium, West High, 1775 W. Lowell Ave.

DETAILS: West High’s Wolf Pack Summer Boys Basketball Camp will be divided into three sessions. The varsity session will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. each day, freshman and junior varsity players will meet from noon to 2:30 p.m., and elementary and middle school players will meet from 3 to 6 p.m.

COST: $65 for varsity and JV players, $75 for elementary and middle school players. There is a $10 discount for all players who sign up before May 11.

Jaguar basketball camp

WHEN: Elementary school camp, session one, 8 to 10 a.m., Monday through Friday, June 11 to 15.

WHEN: Elementary school camp, session two, 5 to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, July 9 to 13.

WHEN: High school boys camp, 10 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday, June 11 to 22

WHEN: High school girls camp, 3 to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, June 11 to 22

WHERE: Kimball High School Athletic Complex, 3200 Jaguar Run.

DETAILS: Kimball High’s basketball teams will host a clinic to teach upcoming players offensive and defensive basketball skills. Sessions include instruction on shooting, ball handling, defensive positioning, fast breaks, passing and more. Games will be played every day, all campers get T-shirts, and elementary players get camp basketball. The elementary camp is open to boys and girls going into third through eighth grades, and the high school camp is for boys and girls going into ninth through 12th grades. Register in advance or on the day of the camp.

COST: $50 for one session of the elementary camp, $85 for both sessions, and $75 for the high school camp.

Bulldog basketball clinic

DETAILS: Tracy High girls basketball coaches Derek Solano and Machone Hicks will host two clinics for boys and girls, the early clinic for fourth- through sixth-graders, and the next clinic for seventh- through ninth-graders

Kimball youth football camp

WHEN: 6 to 8 p.m., Monday to Thursday, June 11 to 14

WHERE: Don Nicholson Stadium, Kimball High, 3200 Jaguar Run

DETAILS: Kimball High’s football coaches will host a weeklong camp for players ages 6 to 14. The camp includes skills training and development, and campers will each get a camp T-shirt.

Bulldog football skills camp

WHEN: 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, to Thursday, June 21

WHERE: Wayne Schneider Stadium, Tracy High, 315 E. 11th St.

DETAILS: Tracy High football coaches, past and present Bulldogs football players and local youth football coaches will instruct youth and freshman football players in the fundamentals of the game in this non-contact camp. Campers get a T-shirt, wristband and barbecue.

Charity mud run

WHEN: 7:30 a.m., Saturday, June 16

WHERE: Eagal Lakes Resort, 12 W. Lorenzen Rd.

DETAILS: Recon Run is a 5k boot camp style adventure-obstacle-mud run designed for families, athletes, running groups, police, fire, and teachers. Proceeds will support Modesto Junior College track and field and cross country teams, Military Moms of Tracy and The Semper Fi Fund, which supports injured and critically ill members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. Organizers expect more than 4,000 participants and 2,000 spectators. Multiple waves of runners will take on the course in 15-minute intervals starting at 8:45. Check-in is at 7:30 a.m. There will also be a free 400-meter obstacle course for kids under 13 from 10 a.m. to noon.

COST: $65, $60 per-person for teams, $55 for military with ID and Eagal Lakes members. There is a $10 per-person discount for those who register before April 15.

Blazin Jaguars Track Club

Junior Wolf Pack Cheer Camp

WHEN: 5:30 to 8 p.m., June 26 to 28

WHERE: West High Cafeteria, 1775 W. Lowell Ave.

DETAILS: West High cheer coaches will teach sideline cheers, a dance and team-building activities. Registration will begin a half-hour before the camp, and the final day of the camp on June 28 will feature a showcase for parents from 7:30 to 8 p.m.

COST: $50, includes a camp shirt, CD with dance music, plus snacks and drinks.

West High fireworks booth

WHEN: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday, June 28 and 29; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 30 and July 1; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday July 2 and 3; and opening at 8 a.m. on July 4.

WHERE: West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Rd., between Famous Dave’s and Olive Garden

DETAILS: Home Field Advantage, West High’s athletics booster club, is raising money to support Wolf Pack sports. Club members will sell $20 tickets in advance, redeemable at the Home Field Advantage fireworks booth, and each ticket will be entered in a raffle drawing to be held at 7 p.m. on July 3.
