Kimball High team, the runner-up from the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League, took sixth place at the CCS meet.
Garay’s all-around score of 37.725 included a first-place mark of 9.750 on the uneven bars and she was second on the balance beam (9.700) and second on the floor exercise (9.400).
Other gymnasts on the Kimball team were Lauren Giles, who was 15th all-around (36.225); Danielle Scheuerlein, 36th all-around (27.625); and Madison Dennington (22.800) and Emily Murphy (18.750).
Tracy High’s Rachel Pombo was 24th all-around (34.125), and Megan Jessen and Katelyn Early both competed on the balance beam and floor exercise.
