No doubt Rhodesia Ransom’s campaign has turned desperate.
The most recent sign of desperation is a letter to the editor signed by a fellow named Bob Young, critical of Bob Elliott (“Council seat shouldn’t just be stepping stone,” May 4 Tracy Press.
One wonders, is this the same Bob Young who gave $500 to Rhodesia Ransom on Feb. 15 of this year? A quick check of the online reports on the Registrar of Voters website finds a donor with the same name who lives in Tracy and lists his occupation as “retired.”
In a classic example of the “the pot calling the kettle,” Young criticizes Elliott’s decision to leave his post on the City Council. One might observe that his candidate, Ransom, must abandon her city planning commissioner position to seek the supervisor’s chair. Perhaps Young has overlooked that fact.
Rather than throwing rocks at her opponents, Ransom’s campaign should stick to trying to promote a positive agenda, as Elliott has.
• Editor’s note: Mary Park is the treasurer for the Elliott for Supervisor 2012 committee, according to campaign finance documents filed with the Registrar of Voters.

I'm not quite sure what attitude you are referring to. Could it be a desire for people to back up their comments? You know, like when you accused people of being ok with the shooting of minorities when there was absolutely no proof to support your accusations? Let me remind you:
"For those in these blogs who say they have no problem with minorities being shot, you are way off what America stands for."
Please, please, please, go back to the comment section where you posted this comment and find definitive proof to back up that remark. By the way, it looks like your comment was deleted, so much for your holier than thou attitude.
"resorting to the same attitude which got you kicked you the last time around, be careful, you may need yet another new name"
bookhater/cathlab/debbdaves, maybe you should heed your own advice, debbdaves arrives on the scene just before cathlab gets banned? Hmmm, knowing the inevitable was approaching?
Gehen Sie von dem markj Material und dem Stock zu den Anklagen und zu den Behauptungen weg, die Sie prüfen können
BIB, you need a bib, I am now convinced you are markj in disguise and are resorting to the same attitude which got you kicked you the last time around, be careful, you may need yet another new name, but your actions always speak louder than names and you tend again and again to expose yourself, just sayin....I don't have an agenda of dcose or cathlab, and you do.....which is why I don't take these blogs as seriously or as self defining as you do. My identity is not tied to being a republican or democrat, unlike others.
Unless you use to post under a different screen name, I believe you are fairly new to this website. I politely suggest you do a little research before posting about things of which you do not have the full picture. Many past comments/discussions are available if you care to explore.
By the way, I didn't notice you objecting to the former poster known as bookhater/cathlab when she/he hauled off on republicans. Could it be that rather than dcose, you are the one with a political bias? Just asking ans would like to hear your reply.
Please try to be fair in your criticism. Have a good evening and remember, big brother is watching.
DCose has a simple agenda, he loves to trash democrats. Simple.
I thought he was once quoted by the Tracy Press, as saying he was an Independant?
You have a great evening.
You have a great evening.
Why were the people at the forum (not a debate) embarrassed for me, and what people? I answered the list of questions that were given me a few days before. Once I saw where the questions were going I played the game with Mendelson and the crowd. I made a happy event out of it. Remember, I called the event "welcome to comedy central" and the people roared. It's how you play the game that counts. Where were you?
I don't get it? So, your agenda was to make dcose and the unions spend more money?
What would you do to cut spending if you had been elected?
Proverbs 6:24 applies here.
Give a rest, ya have already tried Proverbs 6:25 as well as have many others.
Proverbs 6:24-25
24 keeping you from your neighbor’s wife,
from the smooth talk of a wayward woman.
25 Do not lust in your heart after her beauty
or let her captivate you with her eyes.
You sure Dale needs this advice?
Did I miss a LOT of deleted comments? Holy Cow!

Tom, some concepts cannot be explained. Have a great day.
My response to Dcose's reply.
I'm not embarrassed about the outcome of my race, I spent about 50 cents per vote while my opponets spent about $18.00 per vote and that's in the primary. Now they are going to spend another $100,000 each to win the election. All their supporters should be embarrassed, don't you think?
you state the low voter turnout was because of the quality of the candidates offered. You ran. If a candidate received the lowest vote count, what is the average registered voter that did not vote saying about your quality ?
I said people at your debate were embarrassed for you, not, that you were embarrassed.
If the amount spent by candidates foretells the outcome, does the amount per vote factor in ?
Ask your campaign manager and his staff, if I didn't call the election. Low turnout means people were not convenced that the candidates that were running had the right stuff thanks to you. All the signs and media hipe proved nothing. I hope you have another $100,000 in the bank to support your boy.
"I think it tells us why we had such a low voter turnout."
Wrong thinking never stops the addled.
One candidate, perenally bounced by the electorate, is unable to recognize his inability to win let alone enter a runoff race. Most people commenting on your debate performance said they were embarrassed for you. I said, "Tom's Tom, I find him entertaining."
Put another way, if something doesn't need to be said, you will anyway.
To the good... your race(s) for public office remains unbroken.
Thanks for the good words, but lets not forget I also ran against another candidate other than Bob Elliott. Her name is Rhodesia Ransom another strong candidate, and she represents the SEIU and other union interests.
I think it tells us why we had such a low voter turnout.
Who but you could have predicted so many low voter turnouts across the nation were influenced by our SJ County's 5th District Primary.

Not sure anyone represents the unions anymore? Candidates must be looking only at union worker's dues or thier interests?
Convince me that candidates don't just strike a deal with a union manager who makes over $200 grand a year to make such difficult executive decisions that obviously affect every union worker paying her dues.
Like, the only decision the union worker has to make is which liberal to give our money to. And they are probably told who, at a steak and lobster dinner paid for with our union dues.
So, tell us, who represents the union koffers? Er, workers?
You should tell your candidate Elliott to resign his position on the council while there's time. Now that's keeping a promise!!!
He promised to complete his 4 year term as elected, before running for another office.
NOW THAT IS A POSITIVE AGENDA!!
Tom,
revel in the fact and be unafraid that no one will ever accuse you of taking the "High Road" or are too polite to ask you for context...
"NOW THAT IS A POSITIVE AGENDA!!"
Something you've yet to experience but then one can always hope...
Look on the bright side. You ran against Elliott and did not take union dues fortunately your honorable campaign did not cause someone to pay more for their insurance.
You also ran for Congress, Governor, Mayor, Republican Chairperson and did not take union dues, causing someone to pay more for their insurance or forcing them to go on strike to recoup their rising insurance costs.
Just one way of looking at it. Keeping positive. Hope it helps.
This is one of yer biggest problems an why people don't trust ya enough ta vote fer ya ta allow ya ta represent em.
Point bank, yer a sore looser an lack th grace ta accept it. People don't much cotton ta th sore looser that continually bemoans th fate he has exacted on himself.
