Tracy police received 142 calls for service Wednesday, May 16. The following is a sample of those calls.
1:49 a.m.: A caller reported a man was in a hospital emergency room because he was beaten by his son with a baseball bat on the 2800 block of Funston Court. Police talked to the man, who denied the incident.
2 a.m.: A bar clerk reported a man outside Ralph’s Club, 444 E. 11th St., was struck in the head with a beer bottle. The man was found a short time later at a local hospital emergency room. Police are investigating.
5:42 a.m.: Police arrested two men, ages 29 and 20, following a search on the 2300 block of Alamo Court. The arrests occurred after a caller reported two men loading up cars with duffle bags that emitted a strong odor of marijuana. No details were provided on the charges.
6:43 a.m.: A business owner called to report someone had broken the front door of a business on the 300 block of West Larch Road. Police are investigating.
8:35 a.m.: The driver’s side window of a car was broken at Joe’s Smog Shack, 500 E. 10th St. Nothing was reported stolen.
8:46 a.m.: Police received a call from a screaming boy near Alden Glen Drive and Sequoia Boulevard. Police called back and spoke to his mother. She told police the 4-year-old didn’t want to go to school.
10:20 a.m.: A caller reported a man driving recklessly on the 3200 block of Ormonde Court. She said a driver did burnouts and then returned to his house. She said she confronted him and he threatened to vandalize her cars. Police talked to those involved and counseled them about reckless driving.
6:09 p.m.: A woman called to report her son was attacked by someone in the field behind Raley’s, 2550 S. Tracy Blvd. Witnesses told police they could identify the attacker. The incident is under investigation.
9:44 p.m.: Police arrested a teen after a caller reported he was attacking family members on the 1300 block of Jones Lane. Police talked to a resident, who said the teen was arguing with his parents and he told them he was going to kill everyone.
10:08 p.m.: A caller reported a home burglary on the 100 block of Hawthorne Drive.
10:37 p.m.: A loud explosion was reported near Williams Middle School, 1600 Tennis Lane, but police were unable to find any cause for the noise.
10:44 p.m.: Police issued a warning to a group having a party at Talley Park, 1440 Dove Drive.
