Gavin, 2, wants a family for his birthday. He is happy-go-lucky and sweet, according to East of Eden volunteers. When he’s allowed to play off his leash at the park, he’ll come when called, rescuers report. His favorite game is running in big circles, which he does with a hopping motion that tickles the funny bone. He also likes to sleep under the covers at night. Rescuers think this dachshund-terrier mix would fit best into a female-only home. His adoption fee is just $50. East of Eden is a nonprofit animal rescue organization.
