Agu Eelma, 94, of Tracy and Sleepy Eye, Minn., died Wednesday, April 25, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center. A private funeral service is planned for Monday, April 30, at Schmucker Funeral Service Chapel in New Ulm, Minn., www.schmuckerfuneralservice.com.

• Former Tracy resident Thomas V. Avila, 90, a World War II veteran and longtime railroad man, died Friday, April 20, at his Watsonville home. Visitation will be observed from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel, 222 E. Lake Ave., in Watsonville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, April 27, at Our Lady Help of Christians Valley Catholic Church, 2401 E. Lake Ave., followed by in Pajaro Valley Memorial Park, 127 Hecker Pass Road.

• World War II veteran John Lastowski, 85, a 51-year resident of Tracy, died Friday, April 20, at Tracy Convalescent & Rehabilitation Center. Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 26, at Tracy Cemetery, 600 E. Schulte Road. Visitation will be observed from 9 to 10:30 a.m. that same day in the chapel at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave. Contributions in Mr. Lastowski’s name may be sent to Tracy Animal Shelter, 370 Arbor Road; or Tracy Volunteer Caregivers, 1126 El Portal Ave., Ste. 105.

• Tracy native Ruby Lucille Brumley, 87, of Lathrop, died Sunday, April 22, in Manteca. A celebration of her life will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, April 27, at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. Burial, in Tracy Cemetery, will be private. An online guest book is available for condolences.

Jane Stith, 91, of Linden, a longtime San Joaquin County resident, died April 15 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton. Services were conducted last week at Deegan-Ripon Memorial Chapel, 111 S. Palm Ave., in Ripon. Burial was in East Union Cemetery, North Union Road and West Louise Avenue, in Manteca.
