Police arrested a man at 11th Street and Bessie Avenue on Wednesday, April 25, after a witness reportedly saw him spraying graffiti. Details about the arrest were not immediately available.
Tracy police received 202 calls for service Tuesday, April 24. The following is a sample of those calls.
1:02 a.m.: A police dog team searched the 1100 block of Hepburn Court for a missing cellphone. The dog indicated the scent of the phone was in the area, but police speculated it might be up a nearby tree.
1:17 a.m.: Police arrested a 30-year-old man for drug-related charges following a traffic stop near East and 22nd streets.
2:27 a.m.: A man seen crouching behind a pickup with a crowbar on the 700 block of Superior Drive was found to be cleaning fish.
6:25 a.m.: Copper was allegedly taken from a construction site near Interstate 205 and Holly Drive. Police checked and found no thefts had occurred.
8:27 a.m.: A man trying to get his stolen prescriptions refilled was told he had to make a police report on the 300 block of West 12th Street. He said he was missing three prescriptions, including for heart medication and muscle relaxers.
10:07 a.m.: A resident was issued a warning for utility theft on the 100 block of West Fourth Street.
10:56 a.m.: A caller reported a 15-year-old with cat bites to his hand on the 1100 block of Centre Court Drive. The boy said he was bit by a stray, and animal control promised to check the area for the feline.
11:24 a.m.: A daycare provider on the 3100 block of Ormonde Street reported a neighbor often bangs on an adjacent fence and wall. She told police the noise was upsetting the children. Police spoke to the neighbor about the noise.
11:35 a.m.: A man reported finding more than a dozen Airsoft pellets in front of his door and window on the 300 block of Violet Place. He said there was no damage, but he wanted to have the incident documented.
12:16 p.m.: A store clerk reported someone used counterfeit money to buy a scooter on the 400 block of Charlemagne Lane. He said a woman came in the day before and purchased a scooter for $650 and he just realized the money was counterfeit.
1:04 p.m.: A former employee stole $1,900 from Tarasco Market, 340 W. Grant Line Road, according to a business owner. He said he had video of the employee, who quit her job the next day, but was not sure if he wanted to seek prosecution.
1:18 p.m.: Tax information was used to file taxes under a fraudulent name on the 1100 block of Joranollo Drive, a man said. He told police the friend helped him with his financial aid forms and then used the information for his own benefit. Police are investigating.
1:34 p.m.: A woman reported a small snake in her garden on the 1100 block of Dominique Drive.
3:07 p.m.: Police arrested two teenagers at La Costa, 240 E. 11th St., following a security check. Details about the arrest were not available.
5:02 p.m.: A credit card thief purchased a pizza at Dominos in Stockton after a woman reported her wallet stolen from Save Mart, 2005 N. Tracy Blvd.
6:30 p.m.: A 15-year-old was egged by a group of children at Souza Park South at 3160 Antonio Loop. The victim’s parent called police to document the incident after he said the child was lured to the park by a 14-year-old friend and her parents.
7:45 p.m.: The driver of a pickup was hit by an SUV while pumping gasoline at Costco, 3250 W. Grant Line Road. He said the other person involved drove away after the accident. Police are investigating.
9:09 p.m.: Police arrested a 19-year-old man and two women, ages 49 and 19, on the 200 block of West Third Street on suspicion of petty theft. The arrests occurred after a resident said there were flickering lights at house they were occupying, which was supposed to have the power shut off. All three were booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
9:31 p.m.: Police arrested a 51-year-old man for outstanding warrants following a traffic stop near the 2000 block of North Tracy Boulevard. He was booked into county jail.
10:10 p.m.: A woman said her husband changed the locks on her house after serving her with divorce papers on the 600 block of Sagewood Lane. She said they had gone on vacation in Idaho a month ago and he abandoned her there. She said she just returned to their house and she couldn’t get inside. The husband was not home at the time.
10:31 p.m.: Police arrested a 32-year-old man for an outstanding warrant on the 1400 block of Parker Avenue. The warrant was for a drug-related charge.
11:36 p.m.: A caller said he was beaten by his friend’s 40-year-old father on the 1600 block of Court Drive. He said he was choked and held on the ground while he was hit repeatedly. He said he wanted to press charges and he planned to seek a restraining order. Police are investigating.
