Golf: Bulldogs set to finish on top of SJAA

The Tracy High Bulldogs golf team stayed undefeated in the San Joaquin Athletic Association with a 195-240 win on Tuesday, April 24, over Bear Creek at Old River Golf Course.

Giovanni Manguray shot an even-par 36, Robert Erler scored 38, Alec Stroup 39, Shivam Swami 40, Talon Simmons 42 and Anthony Napoli shot 43.

Tracy’s final SJAA head-to-head match is today, against Lodi, and the Bulldogs, now at 10-2 overall and 9-0 in the SJAA, will look to get an advantage when teams play for the league title at the SJAA championship tournament on Monday, April 30, at Lockeford Springs Golf Course in Lodi.



Kimball 224, Mountain View 229

Kimball High’s golfers beat the Mountain View team, 224-229, in a non-league match Monday, April 23, at Los Altos Golf and Country Club.

Philip Simpson shot 40 on the par-35 course, Brett Williams and Michael Crooms both shot 43, Riley Pizl shot 46, Karan Bains shot 52 and Reese Maxfield shot 53 for Kimball (11-5 overall, 6-5 in the Valley Oak League).
