Jenkins was the Jaguars’ top athlete for the day, with first-place finishes in both the 100-meter hurdles, with a time of 16.42 seconds, and a 47.35 mark in the 300-meter hurdles.
Her day keyed the team’s 55.5 score at the Mudville Fleet Feet Invitational on at Bear Creek High in Stockton, behind first place Sierra, 102, and second place Buhach Colony, 63.
Kimball distance runner Francesca Loayza won the 3,200-meter run, 12 minutes, 32.87 seconds, and was second in the 1,600-meter run, 5:39.40.
Other top performers for Kimball included Jemiyah Castro, who was seventh in the 400 meters, 1:06.69, and eighth in the 800 meters, 2:34.90; Chayah Sharma, who was fourth in the 3,200 meters, 13:20.46; Aubrey Snyder, who took fifth in the high jump, 4 feet, 4 inches; Jasmine Aivaliotis, who placed sixth in the 300-meter hurdles, 51.23; and Anna Carrasco, who was sixth in the 3,200 meters, 13:28.16.
Kimball’s varsity boys placed ninth out of 17 teams, with a score of 21.
Heritage High of Brentwood was first with a team score of 166.
One of the top days by a Jaguar came from Derek Van de Streek, who took second place in the triple jump with a mark of 43-08. Chandler Alves placed fourth in the high jump, 5-10, and seventh in the 110-meter hurdles, 18.03.
The Jaguars freshman-sophomore girls placed fifth out of 12 teams with a total of 42 points, with Bear Creek coming in first with 160 points.
Kiahna Brehmer led the way for Kimball’s JV. She placed third in both the 100-meter hurdles, 17.94, and the pole vault, 6-06, and was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles, 55.03.
Joanna Zhu placed third in the 3200-meter run, 14:20.90; Amber Moody placed fifth in the 200-meter dash, 28.49; and Makenna Strope was sixth in the 400-meter dash, 1:06.28, and seventh in the high jump, 3-10.
Kimball’s freshman-sophomore boys placed 10th out of 15 teams with 20 points. Sierra was first at 119 points.
Valamalua Finau placed fifth in the discus, 103-11, and seventh in the shot put, 40-05. Devin Patel placed fifth in the 800-meter run, 2:13.66, and Ken Vellian was sixth in the 110-meter hurdles, 18.58.
