Police Log: Woman throws glassware at children

A woman was reportedly throwing glass plates at children in a backyard on the 100 block of Swarthout Court at 8:24 p.m. Thursday, April 19. The caller said her neighbor was yelling about her children throwing glass, then she began throwing plates to try and hit the children.

Tracy police received 174 calls for service Thursday, April 19. The following is a sample of those calls.

1:36 a.m.: Police arrested a 33-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman for drug-related charges following a pedestrian stop near Alden Glen and Cypress drives. The woman was cited and released.

2:35 a.m.: A woman said her car was broken into on the 1000 block of North Central Avenue. She said her suitcase and a bible were taken.

2:41 a.m.: Police arrested a 30-year-old man for an outstanding warrant on the 200 block of East 10th Street. The warrant was for a domestic violence charge.

9:52 a.m.: Police arrested a 20-year-old man for an outstanding robbery warrant on the 1100 block of Chaplin Way. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.

10:27 a.m.: A house on the 2600 block of Dorset Lane was burglarized.

10:37 a.m.: Someone sprayed graffiti on the front of the Salon Secrets building at 1201 Holly Drive.

12:50 p.m.: A woman watching a house for someone found herself locked out on the 500 block of Palm Circle.

12:30 p.m.: A man was seen cutting open dishwasher motors to access copper behind Pacific West, 280 E. Larch Road. Police checked the area.

3:05 p.m.: Stereo equipment was being sold from the back of an SUV at West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road, and a caller thought the merchandise had been stolen.

3:25 p.m.: Orchard Supply Hardware, 1975 W. 11th St., had tools stolen, according to an employee. The alleged thief was seen getting into a car and driving away.

4:21 p.m.: A house was burglarized and ransacked on the 1900 block of Heron Street. The owner reported a television missing.

4:23 p.m.: Two women were seen fighting outside Olive Garden, 3140 Naglee Road, but left the area before police arrived. Police caught up to one of the women, and she said she was hit by another woman as she left the restaurant. Neither woman wanted to press charges.

4:55 p.m.: Someone abandoned dogs at a house on the 4300 block of Lindsey Lane. Animal control officers posted the house to inform the owner that the animals would be seized the following day.

7:12 p.m.: A caller said someone in Oregon charged $1,200 on his Sears account on the 200 block of Arroyo Hondo Circle. Police are investigating.

7:29 p.m.: A resident saw two men go into an open garage on a vacant house on the 2900 block of Holly Drive. He said one of the men was a neighbor. Police checked and found they were looking for a missing cat.

7:52 p.m.: Police arrested a 38-year-old man for an outstanding warrant at Galli Family Park, 2341 W. Lowell Ave. He was booked into county jail.

8:54 p.m.: Police arrested a 27-year-old man for an outstanding warrant on the 600 block of East 11th Street. He was booked into county jail.

9:04 p.m.: Two women, ages 48 and 40, were arrested for drug-related charges on the 500 block of West 11th Street.

9:05 p.m.: Police arrested a 35-year-old man for an outstanding warrant for drug related charges following a pedestrian stop near Bessie and Highland avenues. He was booked into county jail.
