Pinkie Phillips memorial and benefit

DETAILS: The Tracy Tritons swim team will host a lap swimming event at West High’s Pinkie Phillips Aquatics Center from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, to raise money for the new Pinkie Phillips Memorial Scholarship. The public is also invited to a memorial at 6 p.m., where friends, students, co-workers and former swimmers will honor Pinkie's contributions to the community.
COST: $10 donation for lap swimming includes commemorative swim cap. There is no cost to attend the memorial.

Bowling karaoke contest

DETAILS: The Eighth International Bowling Karaoke Contest started on March 5 with the first in a series of weekly sing-offs. Singers compete for a chance to make the local finals, and winners go to the finals in the Eldorado Showroom at the Bowl Expo in Reno in June, with contest organizers picking up the cost of hotel and air fare.

Wolf Pack boys basketball camp

DETAILS: West High’s Wolf Pack Summer Boys Basketball Camp will be divided into three sessions. The varsity session will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. each day, freshman and junior varsity players will meet from noon to 2:30 p.m., and elementary and middle school players will meet from 3 to 6 p.m.
COST: $65 for varsity and JV players, $75 for elementary and middle school players. There is a $10 discount for all players who sign up before May 11.
