Joseph Dooman

Joseph Dooman, 82, a longtime Tracy resident and U.S. Navy veteran, died April 4. All services were private.

Mr. Dooman was born May 28, 1929, in San Francisco and lived in Tracy more than 60 years. He served in the Navy from 1947 to 1950 and had a career with the department of corrections.

Survivors include three children, Cheryl Christensen, and her husband, Wayne, of Tracy, David Dooman, and his wife, Susie, of Oakhurst, and Pam Rhodes, and her husband, Phil, of Tracy; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Dooman; parents, Joseph and Penna Dooman; and sister, Clara Roberts.
