Services will be Friday, April 20, for former Tracy resident Leonard John Cardoza, 76, who died Tuesday, April 10, of pancreatic cancer.

Born Nov. 26, 1935, in French Camp, Mr. Cardoza lived in Tracy 65 years before moving to Valley Springs.

He attended local schools and graduated in 1954 from Tracy High School.

He was a member of the U.S. National Guard and worked 44 years as a conductor for Western Pacific-Union Pacific Railroads.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Joan Cardoza of Valley Springs; daughters, Sherie Cardoza of Ceres, Charlene Wilson, and her husband, Don, of Ripon and Natalie Hargrove, and her husband, Tim, of Spring Hill, Tenn.; and son, John Cardoza of Tracy.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

His parents, Leonard and Marie Cardoza, preceded him in death.

A memorial will begin at 11:30 a.m. April 20 at the Event Center at La Contenta Golf Course, 1653 Highway 26, in Valley Springs. Arrangements will be handled by San Andreas Memorial Chapel, 254 W. St. Charles St., in San Andreas.
