Lightning, a 2-month-old Labrador-pit bull mix puppy, is one of a litter of four large, playful pups looking for families that can give them lots of attention. All have had their first shots and deworming. Their adoption fees would cover neutering and identification microchips. Animal Rescue of Tracy also has several other dogs and cats available this weekend, including a male flame-point Siamese-mix kitten. The nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group hosts adoption fairs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays at the West Valley Mall, where members will have a ribbon-cutting with a raffle and cookies from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, April 20.
