Tracy police received 397 calls for service between Friday, April 6, and Sunday, April 8. The following is a sample of those calls.
Sunday
6:07 a.m.: Police checked on a woman who had her car running in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven at 455 W. Grant Line Road. The woman turned out to be a newspaper delivery person who was sleeping.
9 a.m.: A man was arrested outside the 99 Cents Only Store, 1320 W. 11th St., on a warrant out of Stanislaus County.
1:15 p.m.: Threatening calls about child custody were reported from Motel 6, 3810 N. Tracy Blvd. The woman making the report was advised about a restraining order.
3:06 p.m.: A homeowner on the 2700 block of Meadowbrook Lane was warned about the noise caused by a live band playing in the backyard.
3:57 p.m.: Two people were stopped at gunpoint by police on the 900 block of West Ninth Street after a man reported being assaulted. Following an initial fight that reportedly left the caller temporarily unconscious, the caller said a man and a woman returned to the scene, where police arrived and arrested them at gunpoint.
9:25 p.m.: Gunshots were reportedly heard around the 1400 block of Parker Avenue. Police couldn’t find anything after checking the area, and noted that fireworks had been previously reported.
11:58 p.m.: Sutter Tracy Community Hospital staff reported a negative test for a teenager who claimed she had been raped.
Saturday
1:25 a.m.: Police were called to a house on the 600 block of Centre Court Drive because a group of alleged gang members was trying to get into a house party. The caller said someone might have mentioned guns being involved.
1:28 a.m.: A man was detained after a woman in central Tracy reported she was being assaulted by her husband. Police released the man and a report is expected to be filed.
5:18 a.m.: No evidence was found regarding shots that were reportedly fired near West Valley Bowl, 2365 East St.
11:02 a.m.: A juvenile reportedly threw a rock at a rental car on the 2900 block of Savanna Drive, damaging the vehicle.
1:18 p.m.: Money was stolen from Sunset Liquors, 2355 Parker Ave. The suspect was allegedly seen by the store’s security cameras.
4:31 p.m.: Beer and a bottle of alcohol were stolen from Raley’s, 2550 S. Tracy Blvd., by a man wearing a hat with a marijuana leaf on it.
8:24 p.m.: The driver of a refrigeration service truck was warned to stop parking it on a residential street.
Friday
7:29 a.m.: No injuries were reported at the scene of a car crash on the 2300 block of Babcock Lane.
8:47 a.m.: Neighbors who live on the 1400 block of Bluegrass Lane were in an argument about one of the neighbors’ dogs.
12:48 p.m.: Two men reportedly stole shirts from Marshalls, 2481 Naglee Road, and left in a gold GMC Envoy.
12:51 p.m.: Windows on several vehicles were found broken out at the Park and Ride, 2650 Naglee Road.
2:25 p.m.: A man who was registered on the missing persons list was arrested near Target, 2800 Naglee Road.
4:27 p.m.: Men in vests claiming to be from Pacific Gas and Electric Co. reportedly tried to get into a house on the 2500 block of Pebble Creek Court.
5:37 p.m.: A man lying face-down in the road near Parker Avenue and 12 Street was reported. An ambulance was called for the man — who was homeless and at a nearby church for a free meal before the incident.
7:49 p.m.: Police ensured a house on the 2600 block of Ponte Mira Way was secure after someone reported several people tried to break in through a front window.
9:45 p.m.: Three bottles of top-shelf Grey Goose vodka were stolen from Top Shelf Wine, 2242 W. Grant Line Road, Ste. 107.
