Dina Sani celebrated her 100th birthday Wednesday, April 4, at New Hope Post Acute Care.

Sani grew up in Byron, where her family was in the asparagus farming business. Her father, Marianna “Dan” Gianni, and her brothers ran S&G Farms in the Delta.

She was married to Giovanni Sani, who died more than 25 years ago. Sani crocheted her veil and gown for the wedding.

She raised three daughters, Anna Marie Sani, Janet Caroling Sani and the late Gloria Ann Sani, and has nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
