After a 16-month engagement, Audrey Marie Bettencourt and Ronald “Ronnie” Chavez III of Vernalis will exchange wedding vows April 28, 2012, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.

Ronnie proposed Dec. 22, 2010, as the couple celebrated Christmas with his sons, Zachary and Christian.

The bride-to-be, daughter of Henry and Irene Bettencourt of Westley, is the general manager of Tracy’s Crown Nut Co.

The groom-to-be, son of Rita and Vince Bogetti of Patterson and the late Ronald Chavez II of Tracy, works for Double D Transportation in Pleasanton.

Following the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests will head to Livermore for a reception.
