Tracy police received 453 calls for service Sunday, April 1 through Friday, March 30. The following is a sampling of those calls.
SUNDAY:
12:32 a.m.: Police arrested three men, ages 28, 54, and 23, following a traffic stop near Tracy Boulevard and Larch Road. The charges were not identified, but police reportedly recovered counterfeit $20 bills allegedly connected to one of the men.
12:50 a.m.: Police arrested a man who was allegedly drunk for attempting to get into the apartment of a woman on the 800 block of West Grant Line Road. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
1:39 a.m.: A man reportedly head-butted a woman at the Great Plate at 714 N. Central Ave. The woman refused to press charges and police found no injuries on either person and no arrests were made.
2:27 a.m.: A woman responding to her doorbell found saran wrap was wrapped around her porch on the 200 block of West 12th Street.
11:28 a.m.: Someone egged the 1100 block of Palomar Drive, but no permanent damage was reported.
12:23 p.m.: A truck was burglarized in the parking lot of Tracy Park Apartments at 2800 N. Tracy Blvd.
2:46 p.m.: Police arrested a 40-year-old man following a disturbance at a house on the 4100 block of Heirloom Lane. He was arrested for being under the influence.
2:51 p.m.: A stereo was stolen from a car at the West Valley Mall at 3200 Naglee Road.
4:17 p.m.: Two children, ages 3 and 15 months were seen walking around the 1300 block of Citadelle Street without a parent. Police checked and found the parent was in the shower and he had no idea how they got outside. Police issued the parent a warning.
7:05 p.m.: A poodle was attacked by a stray pit bull on the 2800 block of Georgia Drive. The poodle’s injuries were not released and the pit bull was impounded by animal control.
7:43 p.m.: A car was driven into a fence near Amberwood Way and Sycamore Parkway and the occupants of the car were seen running away. A resident said the car was occupied by three children, between 12 and 13 years old and possibly residents of the area. Police are investigating.
7:59 p.m.: Someone reported a woman was offering $100 in marijuana or a 24-pack of beer to anyone who would kill her son on the 200 block of West Eaton Avenue. Police found there was no credibility to the threats being made by the woman.
SATURDAY:
9:03 a.m.: A tree fell on the 700 block of Glencreek Drive, blocking the roadway.
9:52 a.m.: A road rage incident escalated into battery after a couple followed a man who cut them off on the highway to a business the 2300 block of North Corral Hollow Road. The woman said her husband confronted the other driver and the driver punched him. The victim didn’t want to press charges, but he wanted police to talk to him about his actions.
10:41 a.m.: Police were looking for a man who robbed another man of his wallet and credit cards near a bank on the 900 block of North Central Avenue. The victim told police the robber said he knew where he lived and he has been using the stolen credit cards.
10:56 a.m.: A pickup was burglarized at Walmart at 3010 W. Grant Line Road.
11:48 a.m.: A tree fell on top of a truck on the 2200 block of Acebedo Court.
12:37 p.m.: Stereo equipment was stolen out of a pickup at Staples at 2960 W. Grant Line Road.
2:04 p.m.: Police arrested a 30-year-old man for an outstanding warrant for vehicle theft on the 1000 block of Civic Center Drive.
5:33 p.m.: A woman who tried to return napkins at Cost Plus at 2530 Naglee Road was upset when the store manager told her the bag she brought in was missing. She said she was told to put the bag at the front desk while she shopped, and when she went back to complete the return, the bag was gone. She said the store manager was uncooperative and gave her a fake number for their corporate office. Police advised her it was a civil matter.
7:16 p.m.: A customer at 7-Eleven at 2360 W. Grant Line Road told the clerk that two men were spray-painting graffiti on the back of the business and the trash cans.
9:56 p.m.: A woman was robbed of her cell phone on the 2300 block of West Grant Line Road by another woman. The victim told police the woman punched her in the face and stole the phone. Police are investigating.
11:28 p.m.: A man was seen hitting a woman with a broom on the 1600 block of Sequoia Boulevard. The caller said he was hitting the woman and she was screaming. Police checked and found a brother-in-law and sister-in-law were wrestling on the lawn and they were asked to go inside.
FRIDAY:
12:18 a.m.: A man at the Royal Motel at 1201 W. 11th St. demanded to talk to an officer about his wallet being stolen. He called back 5-minutes later and cancelled the call because he found the wallet.
4:21 a.m.: A man said he invited a homeless man to his hotel room and now he won’t let him into the room at the Motel 6 at 3810 N. Tracy Blvd. The homeless man was asked to leave the room.
7:41 a.m.: A wallet was stolen out of a car on the 200 block of West Beverly Place.
10:52 a.m.: A man on a bicycle pulling a cart was seen damaging a fence on the 2300 block of Holly Drive.
11:03 a.m.: A man on the 100 block of South Third Street said someone accessed his ATM and checking account and withdrew $546.
11:21 a.m.: Police arrested a 29-year-old man for two outstanding warrants on the 100 block of East Beverly Place. Both warrants were for possession of drug paraphernalia.
11:50 a.m.: A 23-year-old man was arrested for urinating in public on the 1600 block of West 11th Street. He was cited and released to his mother.
1:25 p.m.: A man said his soon-to-be former wife broke into his house on the 100 block of East 12th Street. He said she broke a window, but police checked and found there was no burglary.
2:10 p.m.: A resident reported hearing a loud boom near the 100 block of West Mount Diablo Avenue. Police checked the area, but nothing was found out of the ordinary.
4:07 p.m.: A woman reported an unknown approached her when she went outside to get her newspaper on the 1500 block of Peony Drive. She said he asked her how old she was and her name. She said he went into a nearby car occupied by another man. Police checked and the men were gone before their arrival.
4:09 p.m.: Police arrested a man for an outstanding warrant at the Microtel Inn at 861 West Clover Road. The arrest occurred after the man started arguing with the clerk over the room rates. He refused to pay his bill and the staff refunded his money to get him to leave, but he refused to leave.
5:41 p.m.: A house was burglarized on the 1300 block of Gowan Drive. Police are investigating.
6:57 p.m.: Four iPhones from Verizon Wireless at 1863 W. 11th St. were stolen by an unidentified man. Police are investigating.
7:35 p.m.: A man was issued a warning after he was seen trying to sell strawberries door-to-door on the 700 block of Buckinghorse Drive.
8:34 p.m.: Police arrested a 33-year-old woman for domestic violence in central Tracy. The arrest occurred after a caller reported seeing a man and woman pushing each other. She was booked into county jail.
