Today’s Remember When “mystery photo,” at top left, shows two Tracyites getting ready for breakfast in 1980. Who are they, and what was the occasion?

Last week’s remember when “mystery photo,” at bottom left, showed Richard “Rick” Wentworth, seated center, and Tracy supporters in October 1980, when Wentworth was a candidate for county supervisor.

With Wentworth in the photo, left to right: George Kelly, principal of Central School; Warren Twitchell, principal of North School; and Pamela Costa, Wentworth’s sister, who was a Tracy resident. Wentworth, a Manteca school administrator, lost the supervisorial election, but in 1990 was elected county superintendent of schools. He served in that position until 2010, when he retired.

Identifying those in the photo were Bill Swenson, Gussie Owen, Don Bisbee, Jeanne Twitchell and Diane Twitchell Sutton.
