Tracy native Kalyn Stortroen is engaged to marry Nicolas Belletto of Salida in May 2013.

Nicolas proposed to Kalyn on his knee at his new home in Salida on Nov. 28, 2011, at the beginning of the Christmas season.

The bride-to-be was born in Tracy to Scott and Laura Stortroen, now of Ripon. She graduated from Ripon High School in 2006 and received a degree in psychology from California State University, Stanislaus, in 2011. She works for Oak Valley Community Bank in Ripon.

Kalyn’s grandparents are Archer and Joy Bakerink and Ida Stortroen, all of Tracy, and the late Don Stortroen. Her sister, Jennifer Higgins, lives in Ripon.

Her fiancé graduated from Grace Davis High School in 2007 and earned an associate degree in machine tool technology from Modesto Junior College. He works for Lock-N-Stich in Turlock.

Nicolas is the son of Steve and Gina Belletto and brother of Elise Belletto, all of Modesto. His grandparents are Harry and Carol Belletto of Modesto and Tony and Ida Quierolo of Lathrop, and his great-grandmother, Mary Belletto, lives in Modesto.
