Tracy police received 173 calls for service Wednesday, March 7. The following is a sample of those calls.
12:29 a.m.: Police arrested a 30-year-old man for outstanding warrants following a pedestrian stop near Grant Line Road and East Street.
6:49 a.m.: Six phones were reported stolen from a vehicle outside Walmart, 3010 W. Grant Line Road.
7:59 a.m.: A woman asked for police assistance while she retrieved her daughter’s sippy cup from a room occupied by her boyfriend at the Tracy Inn , 24 W. 11th St. She said the man had threatened to beat her.
8:45 a.m.: A man was arrested at Motel 6, 3810 N. Tracy Blvd., after he was seen running around the motel. A caller said he jumped the front counter. He was arrested for being drunk in public and was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
9:02 a.m.: A homeless man was issued a warning to stay away from Jack in the Box, 611 W. Grant Line Road, after he reportedly tried to attack a customer. The man was injured after a customer took him to the ground when the man tried to hit another customer.
10:39 a.m.: Someone sprayed graffiti on two signs at Grace Baptist Church, 1330 N. Tracy Blvd.
10:50 a.m.: A man on the 100 block of East 11th Street who sold an item over the Internet received a check that was 10 times more than the price he sold the item for. Police are investigating.
12:03 p.m.: A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public when he was seen passed out in an alley behind RAS Car Wash, 124 E. 11th St.
12:08 p.m.: Police arrested a 41-year-old man following a verbal dispute on the 200 block of West Carlton Way.
12:43 p.m.: A woman told police her underage son got a tattoo from Pins and Needles, 64 W. 11th St. Police talked to the business owner, and he promised he wouldn’t tattoo anyone without an ID.
12:51 p.m.: Police arrested two men, ages 47 and 30, and a 22-year-old woman on suspicion of auto theft at Motel 6, 3810 N. Tracy Blvd. Police discovered that the car found at the motel was reported stolen from Hayward. Police also reported recovering a stolen gun. All three were booked into county jail.
3:36 p.m.: A woman on the 2200 block of Tahoe Circle called to report getting an email stating that she had an outstanding arrest warrant with the Federal Bureau of Investigations. She said she checked and found she had no warrant and she wanted to report a possible scam to the police.
3:58 p.m.: A student at Tracy High School was injured following a fight at 315 E. 11th St. The student reportedly had a bloody nose, injured forehead and a broken tooth. The school resource officer said he would handle it.
4:44 p.m.: Exploding eggs boiling on a stove caused a man to call police, who reported his house was being burglarized on the 3900 block of Chateau Lane.
6:55 p.m.: A drunken man was seen making racial comments to women who were outside the Tracy Transit Station, 50 E. Sixth St. He was seen going in and out of the lobby.
9:26 p.m.: A stray cat reportedly attacked a dog in a yard on the 1500 block of Autumn Meadow Lane. The owner said the dog and the cat ended up in the pool. After fishing the animals out, the caller said the cat was bleeding.
10:39 p.m.: A caller reported a man beating a woman with a pipe-shaped object near Center of Hope at 2514 Holly Drive. Police checked and found a couple who said they were friends and that no fight had occurred.
10:49 p.m.: Police arrested a 42-year-old man on outstanding warrants near the 800 block of Palm Circle. The warrants were for a variety of charges, including vehicle theft.
