This 1½-year-old terrier mix is perky and playful, but likes her lap time. Ginger gets along well with other dogs and is comfortable in a crate to sleep or when she has to be left alone. Rescuers think she might be part Cairn terrier, like Toto in “The Wizard of Oz.” She is spayed and current on her vaccines. Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group that has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays at the West Valley Mall.
