Police Log: Pranksters plastic wrap roadway

A caller reported teens stretching plastic wrap across signs, cars and poles on the 4200 block of Eveningside Lane at 12:23 a.m. The teens were seen walking toward MacArthur Drive, and more plastic wrap was found across the intersection of Christopher Michael and Eveningside lanes. Police checked and also found plastic wrap around shrubs and vehicles on the 4100 block of Eveningside Lane.

Tracy police received 123 calls for service Sunday, Feb. 12. The following is a sample of those calls.

1:12 a.m.: Police arrested a woman on the 1600 block of Franklin Avenue on suspicion of being drunk in public. The arrest occurred after a caller reported a woman was screaming and pounding on the caller’s door.

7:26 a.m.: A caller reported that someone broke into his car on the 800 block of Kapariel Drive.

8:50 a.m.: Police arrested a woman on an outstanding warrant on the 1500 block of Grace Court.

10:07 a.m.: A caller reported someone broke into his trailer at a storage facility on the 2000 block of Holder Lane.

11:39 a.m.: A caller reported her neighbor put rat poison under her fence and made her dog sick on the 200 block of East 12th Street.

12:05 p.m.: A caller reported a large group of motorcycles went through a light at the intersection of 11th Street and Corral Hollow Road. He said there were about 100 motorcycles, and they almost caused an accident.

12:43 p.m.: A woman’s windshield was hit by a golf ball near Corral Hollow Road and Lowell Avenue. She requested police check the area.

1:33 p.m.: A caller reported her neighbor’s children told her that a cable representative pounded on their door on the 500 block of Park Haven Drive. They said their mother wasn’t home, and they refused to open the door after the cable man said they needed to open up because the house was getting a cable box. Police checked and found a note on the door for the mother to call the company.

1:48 p.m.: A caller reported someone broke her bedroom window on the 600 block of Morton Way. She said she didn’t know what broke it, but she suspected neighborhood juveniles. Police checked and found an 8-year-old had done it, and his mother agreed to pay for the damages.

2:28 p.m.: Police arrested a 24-year-old man for an outstanding warrant on the 1400 block of Cottonwood Drive. The warrant was on a theft charge.

4:09 p.m.: A caller reported a man put a dead rabbit on his car at the Green Oaks Mobile Park, 2929 N. MacArthur Drive. He said there was a no trespassing warning on this man already. Police issued a citation.

4:10 p.m.: A store clerk reported a man stole $966.48 worth of merchandise from Macy’s at 3400 Naglee Road. The man was seen getting into a white pickup.

5:34 p.m.: A store clerk called to report a man bothering customers for money at Petes Liquors, 202 W. 11th St. Police issued him a warning.

6 p.m.: A store clerk called to report several teens inside Walmart, 3010 W. Grant Line Road, were making threats toward and taking her picture inside the store. One of the teens called and said she was pushed and wanted to prosecute the store employee. Police gave both the teens a trespassing warning.

6:20 p.m.: A caller reported someone hacked into his computer and stole information on the 1400 block of Holly Drive.

7:10 p.m.: Police arrested a 59-year-old man on suspicion of domestic violence in central Tracy. The man was arrested after a woman called police crying hysterically. The man was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.

8:52 p.m.: A caller reported teens smoking drugs on the porch of a vacant house on the 300 block of West 23rd Street. The teens were turned over to their father by police.
