Avalanche finishes second in fall league

The Tracy Avalanche under-10 girls soccer team finished the fall indoor season at Cabernet sports complex in Livermore with a 5-6 loss on Jan. 28 to the Thunder. That gave the Avalanche (7-1) a second place finish in the final league standings. Jaden Hall scored two goals and had two assists, Brianna Herren scored a goal and had three assists, and Alani Gayles and Isabella Saavedra each scored a goal and each had two assists. Alejandra Perea made 24 saves as goalie.

The Avalanche began the winter season with a 13-3 win Saturday, Feb. 4, against the All Stars. Jaden Hall scored two goals and had three assists, Isabella Saavedra netted two goals and made two assists, Jasmine Cohciaosue scored a goal and had three assists, and Jazmin Saavedra, Talia Contreras, Abigale Hamer and Ayanna Barrosso each scored a goal and had two assists.

Alejandre Perea played goalie in first half making 13 saves and scoring one goal and assisting on two more. Brianna Herren played goalie during the second half — making 15 saves and scoring three goals and assisting on two others. Defenders were Talia Contreras, Ayanna Barrosso, Ellie Davis and Abigale Hamer, while midfielders were Jasmine Cochiaosue, Isabella Pahulu and Christiana Vierra.
