EDITOR,

As the 2011 holiday season sunsets, Hospice of San Joaquin extends a warm appreciation to our community for your continued support throughout our 30-plus year history. We especially want to thank everyone who remembered their loved ones with our Tree of Lights.

The 2011 Tree of Lights marked the 23rd anniversary of this important event — a celebration that brings communities together to remember, and honor, thousands of lives in the Central Valley.

We thank the residents of Tracy and the Tracy Outlets for their warm reception as they joined the other six Tree of Light ceremonies in lighting their tree on Dec. 2.

The lights on our trees hold special meaning — each represents a loved one honored or memorialized by those who held them dear. As we start 2012, once again it will be time for us to carry the light in our hearts as we dedicate the New Year to our loved ones.
