Today’s Remember When “mystery photo,” at top left, shows four Tracy High students standing near the high school in 1951. Who are they, and what building was behind them on the left?

Last week’s Remember When “mystery photo,” at bottom left, shows Dorothy Lorenzen and two Caltrans employees spreading California poppy seeds on an Interstate 205 embankment in the 1970s. Lorenzen, the self-described “little old lady in tennis shoes,” and Dolores Chadeayne headed an effort to provide more natural landscaping in Tracy during that era.

Steve Rodarte identified Ed Krohn as the Caltrans worker on the left. Krohn, a Tracy native, died recently.
