We are first and foremost thankful for what we enjoy — food, health, friends, freedom — while remembering what so many others endure — hunger, sickness, loneliness, serfdom.
We are thankful for those who serve others. Whether it be through charity, through friendship, through healing, through vocation, through the military, or even through a
random act of kindness, the world is better because of people who give of themselves.
We are thankful for a thriving civic spirit. We have countless individuals, public servants and volunteers who strive to make Tank Town the best place it can be. Their stories are often told in the pages of the Press. More often than not, they go unnoticed, except by the people whose lives are changed for the better. Tracy would not be the same place it is without their undying dedication, which is appreciated even when it goes unapplauded.
And we at the Press are especially thankful for our readers and advertisers. Thank you for supporting your local newspaper, for challenging our efforts, for engaging in a conversation, for making this community a brighter, more vibrant place with your participation. It’s humbling to work for the people who call this city home.
With all these things and more in mind, we sincerely wish you a happy Thanksgiving and a merry holiday season. And we hope to share many more with you in the future.
