Police on Monday said there was evidence linking the man to several recent robberies in Tracy.
Tracy police received 355 calls for service Friday, Nov. 18 through Sunday, Nov. 20. The following is a sample of those reports.
1:41 a.m.: A caller reported someone hit his friend’s car in his driveway on the 200 block of West 20th Street. He said they heard the crash and came outside, but there was no one there.
2:39 a.m.: A woman called her cell phone in her stolen 1997 Toyota 4Runner on the 300 block of West Mount Diablo Avenue and talked to the thieves. She said they threatened to come by her house and shoot it up, as well as blow up the truck. She was advised to contact the sheriff’s department, which made the stolen car report.
2:46 a.m.: An ambulance crew called to report they saw two men tagging a wall at Pizza Hut, 720 W. 11th St. Police checked and saw three men running and jumping over a wall, but no evidence of vandalism.
9:50 a.m.: A caller reported someone vandalized his neighbor’s car in their driveway on the 700 block of Everglades Drive. Police checked and found someone stole all four tires and rims.
9:52 a.m.: A caller reported someone stole tiki statues out of their yard on the 100 block of East Sixth Street.
11:58 a.m.: A caller reported someone smashed the passenger window of a car in the Park & Ride, 2650 Naglee Road. He said the stereo was missing.
12:41 p.m.: A caller reported a shop had pictures of naked women in the window at High Time, 3310 N. Tracy Blvd. He said he talked to the owner, and he said he told an employee to remove them, but the pictures are still up. Police talked to the owner, and he said he would remove the pictures upon his arrival.
3:14 p.m.: A caller reported someone sprayed graffiti on the back door of Domino’s Pizza, 708 W. 11th St.
3:24 p.m.: A caller reported someone broke into his friend’s truck and stole the stereo and GPS at Jamba Juice at 2501 Naglee Road.
3:45 p.m.: Police arrested a man for falsifying a prescription and trying to get it filled at Target, 2800 Naglee Road. The arrest occurred after a store clerk called to report a man was coming into the store with a prescription for someone else for the third time.
3:50 p.m.: Police are investigating a drive-by shooting on the 100 block of North West Street. No injuries were reported, but police are looking for the car involved in the shooting.
4:54 p.m.: Police arrested a man on the 1500 block of Duncan Drive on suspicion of being drunk in public. The arrest occurred after a caller reported her husband was out of control.
8:04 p.m.: A restaurant clerk called to report a woman caused a disturbance in McDonald’s, 3430 N. Tracy Blvd. He said she was threatening to shoot the staff, but no weapon was seen. She said she was upset about her food. A man called to report the employees were threatening to assault him and his wife. Police checked and found there were no threats, just an argument over food order and slow service. The customers said they would follow up with McDonald’s corporate officials.
8:28 p.m.: A caller reported a man was assaulted on the 1500 block of Valerie Lane. Police checked and found a man with a head injury stating he was hit in the head, possibly with brass knuckles.
8:38 p.m.: A caller reported a pickup knocked over a number of trash cans near Central Avenue and Deerwood Lane.
10:22 p.m.: A woman called to report someone broke her back car window with a stone on the 1900 block of Valley View Drive.
2:38 a.m.: A caller reported a dog barking in a backyard on the 1200 block of Dover Lane. He said the dog’s bed was soaked from the rain. Police checked and talked to the homeowner and advised her that the dog had to go inside the house due to the excessive barking.
7:09 a.m.: A caller reported someone shot a BB pellet through a window at La Villa, 57 East 11th Street. Another window was reported broken on Friday, Nov. 18, at 3:32 p.m.
7:42 a.m.: A gas station clerk called to report two customers came into the business with fake $5 bills at the am/pm at 3425 N. Tracy Blvd. Police talked to the manager and found the bills were not fake. No further action was requested.
9:14 a.m.: A caller reported a homeless man in a hot tub a at 2800 N. Tracy Blvd. He said the man had his feet in the tub. Police checked and found the 23-year-old man had outstanding warrants, and he was booked into county jail.
9:43 a.m.: Police arrested a 29-year-old man for an outstanding warrant at Motel 6, 3810 N. Tracy Blvd. The arrest occurred after a caller reported a guest of the motel had broken out a window and refused to come to the manager’s office. The man was booked into county jail.
10:34 a.m.: A business clerk called to report several men were robbing Ybarra Bros Jewelry at 3120 N. Tracy Blvd. The men were seen leaving in a car at a high rate of speed. A caller told police he saw them get out of a different car, but they did not leave in the same car. The men fled with jewelry. Police confirmed Monday that one of the victims was pistol-whipped, and was treated at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.
10:53 a.m.: A caller reported he had video of someone stealing gasoline from his business at Van’s Ace Hardware, 2695 N. Tracy Blvd.
1:39 p.m.: A caller reported his community mailbox may have been tampered at Ma Lon Manor, 145 E. 12th St. He said some of the mail was ripped in half and found in a nearby trash bin. The mail carrier said he would notify the post master.
6:28 p.m.: A woman called to report her husband’s 2003 Suzuki motorcycle was stolen from the 2200 block of Holtspur Court.
6:48 p.m.: A woman called to report her son was hit by an SUV while riding his bicycle near Orchard Supply Hardware, 1975 W. 11th St. She said he was not injured, and the driver provided all the needed information.
6:32 a.m.: A caller reported her Chevy Yukon was stolen on the 2300 block of Christy Street. Police checked and advised the woman that it was repossessed.
10:17 a.m.: A caller reported two men parked in front of her house were looking around the area on the 300 block of Gonzalez Street. Police checked and found the two men had outstanding warrants. The driver was reportedly under the influence of a controlled substance.
11 a.m.: A school official called to report he had four students in his office at Kimball High School admitting to breaking into a room at Poet Christian Elementary, 1701 S. Central Ave., on Nov. 10. Police are investigating.
3:45 p.m.: A caller reported someone shot at his car window with a BB pellet or a bullet near Tracy Boulevard and 23rd Street. He said he didn’t want to stop to check, and kept going from the area.
4:33 p.m.: A caller reported someone shot out a window at Adrian’s Beauty College, 3000 W. Grant Line Road. It was unknown if the window was broken by a BB pellet or bullet.
6:23 p.m.: A caller reported the window at a bus stop was broken on the 2100 block of West Grant Line Road.
6:31 p.m.: A caller reported someone broke his car window on the 700 block of East 11th Street.
7:24 p.m.: A caller reported someone threw something at his back car window and shattered it near Corral Hollow and Grant Line roads. He said it occurred while he was driving down the street.
