Golf: Local golfer misses cut at Masters

Tracy High golfer Jennifer Kim finished the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters tournament on Monday with a score of 88 on Monday at The Reserve in Stockton. Her score was 12-strokes short of the cutoff to go to the California Interscholastic Federation NorCal Championships at Stanford University Golf Club on Monday, Nov. 7.

Team winner of the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters Tournament was Christian Brothers with a score of 399. Lodi finished second, 401, and St. Francis was third, 412. Three golfers tied for first place with scores of 72 on the par-72 course, including Nicole Cruz of Christian Brothers, Shawnee Martinez of Enochs and Paige Lee of Granite Bay. Martinez and Lee will go to NorCal as at-large individuals, as will Sara Scarlett of Woodland and Maddy Gedeon of Oakmont, who won a playoff among three golfers who shot 76 on Monday.
