Sophomores: Manteca 26, Kimball 14
Kimball High’s sophomore team started well as the Jaguars’ scored on their second play on offense when Gaige Allen ran in a touchdown from the 50-yard line. The game went Manteca’s way in the second quarter, though, when the Buffaloes went on to take a 20-7 lead at the half.
“Unfortunately we turned the ball over five times and weren’t able to maintain any momentum,” Jaguar coach Steven Wichman said. Manteca scored again in the third, and Kimball got on the scoreboard again in the fourth when Seth Wills made a 65-yard touchdown run.
