Annie is a sweet, mellow 9-month-old mixed-breed puppy who is happiest playing with her toys and other dogs. She is well-behaved, though she hasn’t yet encountered cats. Rescuers guess she might be a mix of Labrador retriever, pit bull and shepherd and may weigh 50 to 60 pounds when fully grown.

Annie has been vaccinated and will be spayed and given an identification microchip before she is adopted.

• Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group that has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays at the West Valley Mall.
