The bullfight ring in campo pequeno behind the Portuguese Hall was filled as hundreds came to watch the matadors face the bulls in a bloodless fight.
Cavalerio Alberto Conde fought his bulls from horseback putting the lances into a pad on the bulls' back.
Other matadors took their turn in the ring along with forcados bull grabbers-also dubbed the Suicide Squad-wrestled with the bull inside the ring.
The fights began with opening ceremonies that included the National Anthem of the Untied States and Portugal along with a presentation of the festa queens and the bullfight participants.
