Kimball High had its first track and field clinic for youths Wednesday, June 22, in Don Nicholson Stadium.

Kimball track and field coach Ben Trombley said he got about three dozen youngsters for the afternoon, including about 10 or so who arrived early to learn the basics of the pole vault with Tracy High track and field coach Jay Fishburn.

Trombley said that attendance was small for the first time out, but he still had a chance to put his Jaguar athletes in the role of teachers for a day. He also scheduled an all-comers meet for Wednesday evening, another aspect that he hopes to see grow in the future.

More information on upcoming camps can be found in the Coming Up section of our website.
