As summer temperatures slowly climb in Tracy, the recreational pool at West High’s Pinkie Phillips Aquatics Center has started the summer month with the YMCA of San Joaquin County taking over running all the aquatic programs this summer.

The pool will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for recreational swimming. On Saturday and Sunday, it will be open 12:30 to 4 p.m.

Children 2 years old and younger are free when accompanied by a paying adult. Children younger than 7 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times. Swim fees at the pool are $2 per person or $15 for a 10-visit pass.

The pool will be open every day through Aug. 6 and weekends through Sept. 5.

From 1-3 for rec swim? Lame. They should be open until evening. Do they have swim lessons or lap swim in the mornings?
