Tracy police received 162 calls for service Tuesday, June 7. The following is a sample of those calls.
1:18 a.m.: A caller reported his sister came to his house in central Tracy and told him her husband beat her. She said he shoved her into a fence and she used pepper spray on him. She said he abuses prescription drugs and he had been drinking all day. Police checked with the man and found his wife had not been beaten. He said he was trying to take away her cell phone, because he thought she was hiding information on it.
1:26 a.m.: A caller reported a man in a yard with a flashlight on the 3200 block of Honeydew Court. Police talked to the man, who said he was the owner’s son and he was locked out of the house.
3:30 a.m.: A caller reported her mother-in-law was intoxicated and banging on her door on the 100 block of Price Court. She said the woman called several times and had been told not to come home drunk. Police arrived, and the homeowner allowed the woman to go inside.
6:55 a.m.: A caller reported someone stole solar lights from her yard on the 400 block of Hintz Avenue.
6:59 a.m.: A caller on the 400 block of Czerny Street reported an elderly man walking his dog routinely lets it defecate in his yard and never picks it up.
7:36 a.m.: A caller reported graffiti on his trailer on the 2700 block of Lincoln Boulevard.
7:51 a.m.: A caller reported graffiti at Teriyaki, 819 W. 11th St.
9:19 a.m.: Police arrested a 19-year-old man after a car he was driving hit a fire hydrant near 11th Street and Lammers Road. He was reportedly seen driving 90 mph eastbound on Fabian Road, toward Crossroads Drive before the accident.
10:23 a.m.: A caller reported someone with five dogs on the 400 block of Glenbriar Circle. He said he thought having that many dogs were a violation of a city code. Police issued a citation to the dog owner.
10:32 a.m.: A caller reported gang graffiti on a fence on the 1200 block of El Portal Street.
11:06 a.m.: Police arrested a 27-year-old man for an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop near Lincoln Boulevard and Lowell Avenue. The warrant included domestic violence.
11:21 a.m.: A caller reported someone vandalized a community room and office at an apartment complex on the 200 block of West Grant Line Road.
12:14 p.m.: A caller reported someone tried to steal his car on the 1200 block of Gwerder Street. He said the ignition was damaged.
12:55 p.m.: A caller reported someone broke into a travel trailer on the 1700 block of Partridge Lane.
1:10 p.m.: A caller reported her landlord and a real estate agent went to her place without notice on the 1600 block of Orchid Drive. The caller said she didn’t know the landlord had a key and entered while she was in the shower. She said she found both of them in her residence.
1:36 p.m.: Police arrested a 33-year-old man for an outstanding warrant while he was parked in a car near 10th Street and Tracy Boulevard. The car was occupied by two men, and one had a warrant for his arrest. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
1:38 p.m.: A caller reported someone ran a minivan into a fence on the 700 block of Palm Circle.
2:36 p.m.: A caller reported someone stole his three-wheeler bicycle off his patio on the 1300 block of Madison Avenue. He said a leaf blower and a drill press were also missing from a shed.
2:50 p.m.: A caller reported his handgun was missing on the 4500 block of Glenhaven Drive. He said his cousin left the gun in its case in front of the house, and when he went to get it, the gun was gone. He said it was a .45-caliber Springfield.
3:02 p.m.: A caller reported someone stole copper from a cell tower on the 600 block of West Sixth Street. The said the loss was valued at $1,000.
3:09 p.m.: A caller reported someone sprayed graffiti on an electrical box at a doctor’s office at 1530 Bessie Ave.
3:33 p.m.: A caller reported a large group of teenagers hanging around a gazebo in a park on the 1400 block of Sentinel Drive. He requested extra police patrols due to gang activity. Police checked and found the teens were waiting to start a dance practice.
3:50 p.m.: A caller reported two men took two diamond rings from The Chainery, 3200 Naglee Road, and ran toward the mall’s food court. Police are investigating.
4:32 p.m.: A caller reported a couple of boys were going door-to-door soliciting money for Tracy football games near Renown Drive and Tennis Lane. The caller said they didn’t appear to be old enough to attend high school. Police talked to the boys and issued them a warning.
4:52 p.m.: A caller reported two women in a fight on the 100 block of Sequoia Boulevard. The caller said the van they were in was stopped with all the doors open, and the women were in a nearby garage. The caller said her son saw that one of the women had a crowbar and the other had a knife. One was seen getting back into the van and driving it into the garage. Neither woman wanted to press charges.
5:08 p.m.: A caller reported two men swinging on a power pole on the 2500 block of Pavilion Parkway. Police talked to an employee and he said they appeared to be stretching on the pole.
6:29 p.m.: A caller reported her roommate attacked her on the 2100 block of Wellington Drive. She said the roommate was there to take her property. One of the roommates told police if they didn’t come soon things were going to get physical. Police talked to the two roommates, and neither wanted to press charges.
6:44 p.m.: A caller reported someone broke into his car at the Hampton Inn, 2400 Naglee Road. He said his dash was pulled out and his CB missing.
8:03 p.m.: A caller reported a 14-year-old carrying a sword covered in duct tape down his shirt tried to steal a basketball from a younger boy at Thoming Park, 1000 Cambridge Place. Police were unable to locate the teen.
8:08 p.m.: Police arrested a 53-year-old man on the 200 block of West Carlton Way. The arrest came after a caller reported the man approached his 6-year-old son and 5-year-old niece in their yard. He took the kids to Parker Market, where he was found buying beer. He was booked into county jail.
9:10 p.m.: A caller reported loud music coming from a car near Antonio Loop and Cathleen Lane. Police issued a warning.
9:11 p.m.: A woman on the 4700 block of Windy Cove Lane called to report someone tried to use her JC Penney card at Rite Aid.
10:43 p.m.: A caller requested extra police patrols on the 900 block of West Eaton Avenue. He said his car was broken into, but nothing was missing.
11:40 p.m.: A caller reported hearing gunshots near Seventh and F streets. He said he heard five to six shots and saw someone riding a bicycle toward a nearby alley and then heard several people yelling. Police could not locate anyone.
11:45 p.m.: A caller reported loud music from a truck parked at the corner of 10th Street and Taft Avenue. Police issued a warning.
