The day included sparring and forms competition for local athletes, plus kickboxing, team competition and demonstrations of martial arts and weapons skills. Tournament organizer Julio Castro said he had more than 60 people from his school, including first-time competitors, going up against Bay Area teams, and also against the Traditional Martial Arts Academy of Tracy.
