The tournament, started by former West High Coach Charlie Pikas and Tracy High Coach Greg Smith, brought 16 teams to town in its first year, 2004. This year it will include 99 teams, including 35 sophomore and freshman teams that will play at Northgate Park in Manteca.
Teams will compete in four 16-team brackets in Tracy, with the four fields at Tracy Sports Complex to be the hub of activity for the Platinum and Gold brackets. Most games in the Silver bracket will be at Kimball High’s new fields, and West High’s softball fields will be the site for most of the Bronze bracket games. Veterans Park and Clyde Bland Park will also have games.
West High will play in the Platinum bracket, Tracy in the Gold bracket, and Kimball and Millennium will both play in the Silver bracket. Full brackets are at norcalclassic.weebly.com. Games include:
