[However there may have been evidence - given the rare monologue - which may have gone something like this...]
"I just flew in from Burbank California."
("...and man, are my arms really tired!")
"Can anybody direct my to Charlie Sheen's condo?"
Really? Calling the police over a pidgeon?
4:07 p.m.: A caller reported he was sprayed with pepper spray at O’Reilly Auto Parts on the 1200 block of North Tracy Boulevard. He called from the hospital, but told police he didn’t want to make a police report.
Why'd he call the police then?
I'm fortunate enough to have handcuffs. lol
It's normal procedure for the dispatchers to tell people to put their weapons away before police arrive. It's hard enough for police to distinguish the good guy from the bad guy. The one with the gun will get an officers attention every time. If you do have to hold a suspect at gun point, listen to the arriving officers commands when they tell you to put it down.
"
Indeed. Why bring a knife to a chainsaw fight?

Ignore the dispatcher - put the gun away when police arrive. What kind of terrible dispatcher is going to advise you to ignore your constitutional rights when someone is threatening your safety?!
