Two contestants were voted off “American Idol” on Thursday, March 31, and one of them was Mountain House’s Thia Megia.

It was the second week in a row she ended up in the bottom three, but this week, she didn’t receive enough votes from the viewing audience to make it to the next round. She will, however, tour with the rest of the top 11.

Megia’s improbable run on the popular show came to a close after she sang “Daniel” by Elton John during Wednesday’s contest.

All in all, Thia has a magnificent voice for being only 15 yrs old but she made a mistake by not taking the advice from the judges to choose songs with more of an up-beat tempo. According to Randy Jackson, Thia chose a "safe" song to sing. I have to agree with him. She's been told every week to pick something more up beat...and she hasn't.
