Golf: Bulldogs get second SJAA win

Tracy 206, Bear Creek 272

The Bulldogs (5-1) got their second San Joaquin Athletic Association win on Thursday, 206-272 against Bear Creek at Tracy Golf and Country Club. Anthony Manguray shot 38 on the par-36 course, Carter Duerksen shot 40, Brian Mantor shot 41, Shivam Swamy 43, Nick McCleery 44, and Darren Elbert 53.

West 242, Tokay 249

West moved into second place in the Tri-City Athletic League with a win over Tokay on Thursday at Micke Grove Golf Course. West is now 3-1 in TCAL. Allan Silveira led the Wolf Pack on Thursday with a score of 39 on the par-36 course. Brandon Vergel De Dios shot 40, Edward Sembrano 46, Kyle Selna 58, and Nick Carrera 59

Sierra 232, Kimball 242

The Jaguar golfers played a close match against Sierra High on Thursday at Manteca Park Golf Course. Philip Simpson led the Kimball teams with a score of 38 on the par-37 course. Other scores included: Riley Pizl 44, Brett Williams 48, Chris Messenger 53, Michael Crooms 59, Theo Forniciari 63. The outcome puts Kimball at 5-6 overall, 3-5 in the Valley Oak League. Up next for Kimball is the Bear Creek/McNair Invitational at The Reserve in Stockton.

St. Mary’s 205, West 271

West took its only league loss this week in Wednesday’s match at Oakmore Golf Course. Allan Silveira scored 43 on the par-36 course. Brandon Vergel De Dios shot 44, Edward Sembrano 53, Kyle Selna 69, and Nick Carrera 62.

West 261, Stagg 272

West hosted Stagg on Tuesday at Tracy Golf and Country Club. Brandon Vergel de Dios led the West team with a score of 41 on the par-36 course. Allan Silveira shot 44, Edward Sembrano 47, Kyle Selna 65, and Nick Carrera 64.
