Neither has she.
Gray, feral cat coordinator for Animal Rescue of Tracy, has seen hundreds of felines caught and spayed or neutered, in hopes of reining in the number of strays on local streets. Many of those she has moved to outdoor homes on rural properties, where landowners prize their knack for keeping down the rodent population.
Now, Gray hopes to find space on area farms, ranches or dairies for another group of mousers. All are fixed and need only simple shelter, fresh water and some food.
“I have several people asking for help, and I am hoping some people will step up to help out these cats,” Gray wrote in an e-mail.
