Shelly, a 1-year-old terrier, pug and shih tzu mix, gets along well with people and other dogs. She loves to play with her toys and is crate-trained and spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines. Animal Rescue of Tracy also has nine puppies ready to be adopted.

• Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group that has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays at the West Valley Mall. Members will make arrangements during the week to show animals in rescue. For information: 642-4324.
