Tracy resident Kristina Marie Holtz is engaged to marry Ryan Paul Padilla, also of Tracy, on June 4, 2011, at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphy. The proposal took place on the evening of May 20, 2010, at the Claremont Hotel Club and Spa in Berkeley Hills, overlooking the San Francisco Bay.

The bride-to-be graduated from Tracy High School in 2005 and from California State University, Sacramento, in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. She also received her multiple subject teaching credential from Sacramento State a year later. While at Sacramento State from 2005 to 2010, Kristina held numerous school records in cross country and track and field.

Her parents are Charles and Sharon Holtz of Tracy, and her siblings are Jeff, Michael and Victoria Holtz, all of Tracy. Her grandparents are Caroll Roberts and the late Joan Roberts of Modesto, and the late Charlie and Wilhelmina Holtz of Sacramento.

The groom-to-be graduated from West High School in 2001, received his EMT certificate from Modesto Junior College in 2003, and is currently studying nursing at American River College. While at MJC, Ryan played soccer for the Pirates.

His parents are Gary and Kathy Padilla of Tracy, and his siblings are Megan de Ga, Jeff and Katie Padilla, all of Tracy. His grandparents are Patricia Derby and the late Paul Derby of San Leandro, and the late Ray and Virginia Padilla of Hayward.
