Tracy police logged 188 calls on Tuesday, including the following reports:
8:36 a.m.: Police and an ambulance went to the intersection of 11th Street and Alden Glen Drive for a report a collision between a car and a bicycle rider. The bicycle rider was on the ground but conscious when police arrived. Police took a report.
12:22 p.m.: Someone called police to report that two men were using drugs in Dr. Powers Park. Police gave the men citations.
12:39 p.m.: Police arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of forgery after he reportedly tried to obtain drugs on an altered prescription at Abala Pharmacy on the 500 block of East Eaton Avenue. According to the police log, an officer in the department’s booking room called an ambulance after the man said he felt a seizure coming on.
1:47 p.m.: A man on the 2000 block of Lighthouse Circle called police because a man in a Mazda pickup had been parked on the street for at least 10 minutes. The man in the Mazda, who said he was a home inspector, claimed the neighbor was harassing him. A woman drove up and started yelling at the man too, and she also called police. Police talked to the people and everyone went their separate ways without further incident.
2:03 p.m.: A woman called police after a man in Florida called her and said her granddaughter was in jail and needed $4,900 to bail her out. The woman told police she was trying to contact her granddaughter to see if any of this was true.
2:07 p.m.: Someone damaged a door at 807 Central Avenue, and the person who called police said it was probably homeless people or drug users breaking in, since there was also drug paraphernalia and alcohol bottles in the building.
2:29 p.m.: Someone tried to steal the condenser unit from an air conditioner at a house on the 2100 block of Ashley Lane. The thief also left some tools behind.
4:03 p.m.: Big Lots, 2681 N. Tracy Blvd., reported that a man had just stolen some DVDs from the store. Police found the 33-year-old man and arrested him on suspicion of petty theft and on warrants.
5:48 p.m.: A man told police that another man was stalking his wife as she commutes on the ACE train. The alleged stalker gets on the same train as the woman, follows her when she gets off the train in Dublin, and takes the same train back to Tracy in the evening. On Tuesday she took a picture of the man, who was sitting one seat away from her, and then called her husband and asked him to bring police to the ACE station to meet them as the 6 p.m. train arrived. Police talked to the alleged stalker and took down his name.
7:29 p.m.: Someone reported that a car on northbound MacArthur Drive just south of Grant Line Road crossed over the median and ran across the southbound lanes and up onto the sidewalk. The woman driving and the man in the passenger’s seat got out and ran away, the caller said. The caller then told police that the woman left the scene but the man returned and said he was going to call a tow truck. The car was gone when police arrived, but police noted that a car had run over some small trees next to the roadway.
9:24 p.m.: A man told police that he went to a house on the 2100 block of Bentley Lane after his 17-year-old daughter sent him a text message, saying she was at the house but too drunk to drive home. Nobody would open the door for the man, but the girl came out when police arrived.
