All I can see below are a lot of people complaining saying the money was mispent, they don't like it, it won't slow down traffic, we hate Tracy, we hate change, yada, yada, yada, yada.
I really doubt the money was a raid on measure-e. Get a grip. People often say things anonymously that most sober people would not say in any sane civil public discussion. I happen to have been to Patterson recently and guess what? Patterson also has a round a bout, as do many other cities. A round a bout wont kill you. Change is good. And studies do show that round a bouts do slow down traffic.
Getting off my soapbox now. Please return to your usually scheduled 'I hate my city' ramblings.
The reason I moved to Tracy was to save money not to force the city representatives to make Tracy look like Los Angeles.

I have been reading the comment sections for some time now and I think tommybahama is a retired Hayward cop. It explains why he has a hardon for everyone from Tracy but is pals to people from Hayward. It would also explain the recent snowball effort against Janet and who was helping to roll her out of town. Shame on the local paper for taking part in the tit for tat. Barbs to you. You still haven't learned how to be a fair and unbiased newspaper.
Superfly, I've lived here for 20 years. Watched how things have grown and been misused. They have been talking about building a new pool almost that entire time and where is it? When you see dumb stuff like this roundabout what are you supposed to say? I never see any traffic problems at that intersection, except maybe during the bean festival.
I'm on the opposite side of tommyb, i hate it here. I've been trying to negotiate a short sale of my house and as soon as that is sold and I can negotiate a job transfer I'm heading for Colorado.
Tired of 2 hour commutes into work, the drugs, the gangs, the schools here aren't the best, 1 of my next door neighbors are complete a-holes making life miserable all the time, its way too hot in the summer to live without central a/c. Nothing for kids to do here. No family here. When we were in San Diego in 2010 my oldest son and I were driving through Bonita and he asked me "Dad, why do we live in Tracy and not someplace nice like this?"
It was nice here many years ago but now it's just a waiting game until I can get to somewhere better. Still kicking myself for not selling back in 99/00, taking the money and running far away from Tracy.
