Services will be Friday, June 22, for Edward Lloyd, 78, a 22-year Tracy resident and retired machinist.

Mr. Lloyd died Sunday, June 17, in a Modesto hospital.

Born May 25, 1934, in the mining town of Consumers, Utah, he worked 18 years as a journeyman machinist at Peterbilt before the plant closed in 1987.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Barbara Lloyd of Tracy; two sons, Michael Lloyd and Steven Lloyd, both of Tracy; a sister, Shirley Lewis of Roseville; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were two sons, Gary Lloyd and Edward Raymond Lloyd; and two sisters and a brother.

Friday’s service will begin at 3 p.m. in the chapel at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave. Visitation will be observed before the funeral from 1 to 3 p.m.
