Tracy Police Department is looking for a man in his mid-30s who allegedly robbed the Chase bank branch at the corner of Tracy Boulevard and 11th Street on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

According to police, the man walked into the bank at 691 W. 11th St. around 2:54 p.m., handed a teller a note and then left the building through the eastern entrance with an undetermined amount of cash.

Sgt. Luis Mejia said a couple of customers and several employees were inside the bank at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.

The robber was described as a white or Latino man in his mid-30s, 6 feet tall, about 200 pounds, wearing a gray sweatshirt and jeans, Mejia said.

During the initial investigation, a Tracy Police Department crime-scene technician dusted the eastern entrance door in an attempt to obtain the robber's fingerprints. Mejia said detectives were also reviewing the bank surveillance video for details of the robbery.

The bank remained closed for more than an hour.

Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Detective Steve Flores, 831-6624.
