Tracy gymnasts medal at state championships

Tracy girls competing for High Definition Gymnastics in Livermore were among the top performers at the USA Gymnastics Level 4 State Championships from Friday, Nov. 15, to Sunday, Nov. 17, at San Mateo Gymnastics in Redwood City.

Evie Snarr, 11, of Tracy, earned a fifth-place all-around finish in the senior D division with a score of 36.2, which included first place on balance beam (9.425) and third on uneven bars (9.0).

Breanne Evans, 10, of Tracy, placed eighth all-around (35.65) in the junior F division, including a second-place mark on beam (9.45) .

Several other local gymnasts brought home medals for placing ninth or better. Medalists included Kylie Dennington, 9, ninth all-around (35.025), child E division; Emily Sheneman, 9, ninth all-around (35.8), child G division ; and Alyssa Morrison, 13, eighth all-around (35.55), senior H division.

On Nov. 9 and 10, Taylor Hoyt, 10, of Tracy, placed second all-around (36.7) in the USA Gymnastics Level 5 state championships at Oroville Gymnastics in Oroville. Her performance included first place on vault (9.425) and second on bars (9.0) and floor exercise (9.525).
