First-team selections from Tracy High include senior Tonta’ne Gilbert, who was fifth in the league in scoring, with 9.3 points per game during the 10-game league season. She was second in the league in rebounds, with 8.8 per game.
Among Tracy High’s boys, Daryl Dancy was selected for the first team. He was fourth in the league in scoring (14.3 points per game), fifth in rebounds (6.5) and third in steals (2.1).
Second-team selections include girls team members Stefanie Eubanks, a senior, and Elise Travis, a sophomore. Eubanks also made the all-defensive team. Mychal James and Tyler Black made the SJAA boys second team.
Arianna Grimes and Sahar Osmani earned honorable mentions for the girls team. Jordan Williams made the all-defensive boys team.
Most-valuable player honors for the SJAA girls were Devyn Weymouth and Nyre Harris of Lincoln High, and MVP for the boys was Alex Enright of Lincoln High.
The Tri-City Athletic League’s selections will be named after the season ends for all TCAL teams. Both the St. Mary’s boys and girls teams will begin play in the California Interscholastic Federation state tournament this week, the boys Tuesday against Foothill of Palo Cedro and the girls Thursday against the winner of the first-round game between Enterprise of Redding and Miramonte of Orinda.
