Ready to play: Rescuers describe Penny, a small 1½-year-old cairn terrier mix, as an all-around good dog, who gets along well with everyone but especially likes children. She gives lots of kisses and climbs all over little ones. She is housetrained, spayed and current on vaccines. Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group that has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays at the West Valley Mall. Members will also make arrangements to show animals in rescue during the week. For information: 642-4324 or www.animalrescuetracy.org.
